What is the Opportunity Card?
The Chancenkarte lets qualified professionals move to Germany for up to one year to search for a job — no offer needed upfront. Eligibility is points-based, scoring your qualifications, experience, language skills and age. While searching you may work part-time up to 20 hours per week.
- Requires a recognised degree or 2-year vocational qualification
- Points for German (A1+) or English (B2), experience, and age under 35
- Financial proof required for the stay
- Converts to a work permit / Blue Card once you land a job
